The Southmead Soap
A large scale site-specific soap opera telling the stories of the Southmead estate in Bristol performed by the residents; a Bristol Old Vic theatre and Mysers-Insole Local Learning production.
From the Homes for Heroes of the 1930s’ through to the devastation of WW2 air raids, from 1950s’ Teddy Boys to the new career girls of the 1960s’ The Southmead Soap follows the fortunes of the fictional Meadows and Meaders families in snapshots over 3 decades.
Directed by Lisa Gregan, produced by Lucy Hunt with a company of Southmead residents.
